[ and that's when minerva strikes. she's been listening to all this nonsensical sweet talk for the past few minutes but seeing them fall onto the bed is what does her in. she cries out before she stretches her head and bites—gerome, actually.

he practically jumps before craning his head. ] —Minerva!?

[ rolls off from on top of gerome ]

[ looks over at her ]

[ minerva cries out! ]

... A sonnet and a dance. I can't say I'm surprised, she's always had discerning tastes.

Hm. Her finest features are her scales, her wings, her eyes, her legs, her horns... Oh, and of course her tail. And don't forget her size and shape as well.

[ stands up and poses in front of the bed ]

O, faire Minerva, with your scales that
Which shimmer oh so bright, when hit by light,
Made more apparent when deciding flight,
Upon wings far more elegant than a bat.
Minerva, try as one may to chitchat
She herself decides who's worthy of Knight
Gerome, who strides valiantly alight
In armour that forms a shield in black matte.

With eyes that see all and leave no trace 'lone
And legs that end in claws that vanquish foes
Made more fearsome by her tremendous size,
Tell me, that which I wish I had known,
Is this piece that I recite worthy prose?
Or did it end up something you despise?

[ minerva unfolds her wings and crawls forward, listening to the tale of her. honestly, she probably doesn't understand a word of this. but owain is posing and her name is being repeated so she seems appeased! at the end, she breathes fire into the air happily

gerome claps. ] An envious talent, Owain. You truly are gifted with your tongue.

Hmm, I suppose I've watched Inigo practice enough that I can come up with my own.

[ time for some INTERPRETIVE DANCE ]

[ then he's gonna stand up and put his hands on owain's arms. and.

slide his fingers down until he's holding both owain's hands. ] No. [ a soft, heartfelt plea. ]

Your rhythm is off and your balance uneven. Worse, your movements are too stiff, you must be more fluid. Like water. [ he's actually just comparing to inigo and that's tough to top. ]

It's true. In battle, your movements are elegant, almost hypnotic. You glide from foe to foe as if part of a dance.

[ letting go and sitting back down!! ] Try again! And be serious, I won't accept you showing Minerva anything so unsightly.

[ decides to copy inigo less and move as though he's fighting, but without the sword ]

[ it's endearing how much owain is trying. he was, uh, too harsh, but he...

... doesn't really have an excuse. he enjoys watching a dance as much as minerva does. if not more so. ] Better.

A combative dance suits me better than one meant to raise morale!

Naturally. This is what you've trained for, and the art of dancing is what Inigo's trained for. I'm afraid neither of us could ever hope to match his movements.
