[she looks pretty shaken. this was a lot this week, and there's just... She swallows slowly.]

[ owain is very much serious right now, not putting up any sort of act or anything of that nature. now's really not the time for this ]

For starters, from the investigation, how much have you seen of what was found?

[justfists]

... Just that the Barghest broke into our room. But I'd heard the announcements and talked to Akira.

[swordhandled]

... One of my swords was found in the pool.

[justfists]

... And you don't know why?

[swordhandled]

I don't, but I can venture a guess.

[ taking a deep breath ]

I believe they're trying to frame me.

[justfists]

[she pauses and... places a hand to her mouth, thinking.]

There is the third monster we don't know yet. You're worried they're trying to frame you... do you know why?

[swordhandled]

[ thinking... for a moment as well ]

It was my Levin Sword that was in the pool, the one that shoots lightning. It would be plausible that me having that is a reason, since no one else has a weapon quite as unique as that.

[justfists]

... So it's a matter of convenience.

[she frowns.]

And you didn't hide your sword.

[swordhandled]

Perhaps not my most brilliant move.

[justfists]

Owain, do you have any proof you weren't involved...?

[swordhandled]

Last night, I stayed with Gerome. Asides from that...

[justfists]

... Owain, Munehisa-san was staying with us, and he was still killed.

[swordhandled]

I know, I know. [ he sighs ] This doesn't look good for me, does it?

[justfists]

Look...

[she places a hand on his arm]

I'll do what I can. But you need to have something stronger. I believe you're innocent.

[ thinking about this ] I looked at the levin sword while Tsumugi held it. I haven't looked at the bodies, but it appears as though someone physically used the sword on a person. The sword itself is meant to be used for magic attacks only.

[justfists]

So it was used incorrectly?

[owain that was exactly what she was asking for]

Based on only seeing the sword, yes. They very well may have used the magic of the sword as part of their attack, but the also used the sword to physically stab their target, as I saw damage typical to swords having to go through bone.

The levin sword is different from a normal sword, as it draws power from the magic inherit within the user to attack, rather than your own physical strength. Any person trained in swords may be able to use it, but if they don't have much magic within them, the sword won't be as powerful.

If you were able to see the bodies, would you be able to tell how powerful the attack was?

[swordhandled]

--Perhaps, yes. I never trained much with magic, but I still saw it used enough times that I can tell the difference between a Thunder and a Thoron tome.

[justfists]

Owain, we may need to ask if there's still time for you to look at the scene. It's going to be the only way to clear your name.

[swordhandled]
