Nor would I. [ after a quick squeeze he lets go of owain's hand. he leaves the meat aside for now and prepares a kettle. you know, for that tea he mentioned a while ago. ]

[ owain wanders away and settles on a seat close and just. openly watches gerome ]

[ for the best. owain has been talking too much and he knows he's the one encouraging it. better to go about his business quietly so owain can rest. his partner gets one last look before he goes around the kitchen preparing. spices come out, a meat tenderizer, utensils, pans, supplies for the tea.

he fluidly moves from one task to the next until, finally, he heads back to owain long enough to drop off some tea. minerva's snack will still be a while. ] Do you need anything else?

[ it's quite a sight, watching gerome move across the kitchen. he looks so natural, at home... that's certainly part of his parent's upbringing there. owain takes the tea and shakes his head. ] I'm fine, thanks.

Be sure to speak up if you get hungry. [ though he has to come back to make minerva a proper meal later. even at her current size, this isn't enough to satisfy her. he returns to what he's doing and eventually finishes cooking.

then.

it's onto presentation. is he looking for a fancy platter? why, yes. he is. and he is absolutely setting it up as nice as possible. ]

[ but for now, he's content. he keeps watching gerome oh he can see now more than ever the influences from his parents ]

[ the extra gene is strong in this one. just wait until you see what he prepares for dinner rather than a snack. lifting the platter up and looking to owain. ] Are you ready?

I am.

[ stands up and leads the way so gerome can use both hands for the platter ]

[ and off they go again. their objective: gerome's room. it is a short, completely uneventful journey and at the end of it, gerome juggles the platter with one hand to get to the keys in his pocket.

[ opens the door ]

[ and then they told minerva about everything. she (lightly) bit owain, she ate, and gerome tended the injury. ]
