[ he pauses, and then he can't help himself. he just starts laughing, moving his hands up to gerome's shoulders as he does so.

[ immediately wraps his arms around him, taking flat out advantage of the fact that minerva is still sleeping in the room to get in this quality time with gerome. ]

And I dislike it intensely. [ but the hugging helps. going ahead and putting his arms around owain too. ]

No, noth— [ freezing. looks at owain, looks back at the other room. not explaining and rushing back instead. he glares at the bathroom door when he half runs into it, but other than that he heads to where he fell and drops to the floor.

[ it takes a bit but he does find the stupid paper and holds it up to owain. it reads:

[ a light kick to owain's ankle for all the doubt he's seeing. he's still on the ground, this takes literally zero effort. ]

It could be a curse.

But aren't curses usually more... grand? [ vague gestures at tharja ]

[ still feels like owain's doubting him... well, it is a stretch. he drops back against the floor and stares up at the ceiling thoughtfully. ]

It could be fatigue.

[ he sighs and gets down on the ground with him ] You never get tired.

... It doesn't. [ idly taps his fingers on the ground. owain won't let it go until he says it, so. ] I wondered if I was subconsciously trying to find reasons to touch you.

O-oh. [ a quick glance at the bed to make sure minerva is still asleep before he just scoots closer until he's right next to gerome, touching him. ] You know, you don't need to find reasons.

I know. And I wouldn't trip if I wanted your attention. [the latter point warrants saying. for emphasis, he slides his hand over and reaches for owain's—only to grab his thigh instead ]

[ slightly jumps at that sudden thigh grab, but he's not pulling away ] I'm assuming you didn't mean to grab my leg.
